Pak-Libya to launch IT talent hunt
ISLAMABAD: Pak-Libya Holding, a leading financial institution, has announced the launch of nationwide IT (Information Technology) hunt, to harness the country's talent.
"Pak-Libya Holding co (Pvt) Ltd, realising the abundance of talent all over Pakistan and the urgent need to harness this talent, has decided to provide a platform from where peoples ideas can be launched," the announcement said.
For years the talented people have lived with the dream to transform their ideas into a great IT business of their own, "but the lack of capital has always stood between the people and the realisation of your dreams," it said.
Pak-Libyais starting a series of IT talent hunt exhibitions in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad to identify and assist IT students, amateurs, enthusiasts, professionals and budding IT entrepreneurs to convert their nascent projects into real life applications by providing venture capital financing to deserving projects.
If a person can demonstrate prototype project on a personal computer, be it a college assignment or his own personal project and meet the registration pre-requisites, he may qualify to participate in the talent hunt exhibitions.
Pak-Libya, through a venture capital company, aims at providing capital to those participants who can prove the merit of their brainchild and demonstrate the essential management and technical skills to turn their prototype into reality.
The online registration can be made by completing the talent hunt registration
form available at the website www.paklibya.com.pk.
The last date for registration is April 30, but the registration by mail, fax, or personal visit will not be accepted.
A selection will be made from the registered projects. APP
