Doctors urged to show professional skills

LAHORE: The doctors should prepare themselves to face new challenges and focus their attentions on health education, besides extending medical treatment to the patients, so that awareness regarding prevention from diseases could be created among the general public.
This was stated by Punjab Health Secretary Mohammad Ismail Qureshi while inaugurating the fourth course for ophthalmologists in Fatima Jinnah Medical College (FJMC) here on Friday.
He also urged the doctors to submit their recommendations to the government so as to further improve the research activities of the college.
He said the government was giving top priority to the health sector and was using every possible resources to extend health facilities to the public.
The College Principal, Prof. Khalida Usmani, speaking on this occasion informed that the college has been holding the courses successfully for the last four years. This course to be continued till March 30 is aimed at creating awareness of latest research among the doctors of FCPS-II and FRCS (final) training.
