InterKabel signs pact with CCL

LAHORE: InterKabel, a German company has signed an agreement with the Chemical Complex Limited (CCL) for the purchase of steel wire rope worth US $ 60,000 per month.

The agreement was signed by Hermann John,cChairman of the company, during his visit to Chemical Complex, says a press release issued, here on Friday. The Chief Executive, Chemical Complex Limited, Imran Khan signed the agreement on behalf of the CCL.

The chairman's visit was aimed at ensuring the implementation of ISO-9002 certification. He checked various stages of quality control in the laboratory and declared that CCL was fulfilling the standard of DIN, ASTM and BS in manufacturing of high carbon steel wire rope, ACSR conductor and PVC cable.

The CCL, which is a sole ISO-9002 manufacturer of steel wire rope in Pakistan, is exporting tonnes of steel wire rope to Europe. As a result of export commitment to Spain, Denmark, UAE and Cyprus, the company accepted 25 percent of the demand of InterKabel up to December 2000.
