Big narcotics haul: 3 held

LAHORE: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) following a raid at a local hotel arrested three drug traffickers and recovered 210 kgs of charas and 1.5 kg of heroin from their possession.

A team of the ANF led by Joint Director Col Manzar Akbar conducted a raid at a hotel at Anarkali and arrested Mohammad Ismail and Malang Khan and recovered charas and heroin from them. Both were resident of Peshawar.

Ismail told the ANF team that they were involved in drug trafficking since long period and were supplying narcotics to an organised gang in Sheikhupura. On his identification, the ANF team conducted a raid at Jandiala Sher Khan and arrested one Rizwan Abbas alias Jani, who was carrying narcotics including charas and heroin on his motorbike. On his disclosure, the team further recovered 180 kgs charas from the residence of the accused. A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant law.
