MUZAFFARABAD: Trade and cultural agreements with India before settlement of Kashmir issue, is nothing but futile exercise and betrayed with the sacred blood of Kashmiri martyrs, said Mir Parvez Anwar, senior leader of AJK PPP and co-ordination secretary of AJK Premier.

Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, he said "India has let loose the reign of terror in Kashmir and has passed all the pervious records of barbarism. World community must put pressure on India to stop its genocidal policies in Kashmir. India wants to eliminate the freedom fighters by using brute force, but they are firm to continue their struggle against all odds," he continued.

He said India is a multi-linguistic, multi-religion and multi-national country where people from every nationality have started fighting against the excesses of Hindu fanatics. It will provide basis for quick disintegration of India and time is not so far when India will divide in various peices, he added.

Parvez said that hands of Indian premier are colourful with the sacred blood of more than 70,000 Kashmiris and he cannot claim to be the champion of democracy and secularism.

"Only hope for a durable peace and sustainable development in South Asia lies in immediate solution of Kashmir issue as per wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people," he said and added that any solution against the will of Kashmiri people will prove detrimental for the peace and security of the region.

PPP leaders called upon US President Bill Clinton, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and other world leaders to use their influence to help resolve half a century old Kashmir dispute and remove tension for ever.

Bill Clinton, he said, must show personal interest in resolving this biggest human tragedy of the world.ÑPPI
