Jinnah addressed

Americans on

radio in 1948

ISLAMABAD: Not many will be aware or may have forgotten that the father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah had addressed the people of the United States over Radio in 1948.

Jinnah in his address had laid down the basic parameters of Pakistan's foreign policy, saying that it was based on, "friendliness and goodwill towards all nations of the world."

"W don't cherish aggressive designs against any country and nation. We believe in the principles of honesty and fairplay in the national and international dealings and prepared to make our utmost contribution to the promotion of peace and prosperity among the nations of the world," Jinnah had told the Americans in his speech.ÑAPP
