Hakim Zardari's petition dismissed
RECORDER REPORT
LAHORE: An Ehtesab court on Wednesday dismissed a petition filed by Hakim Ali Zardari, father-in-law of the former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, praying to the court to quash the case sent against him by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The petitioner contended that the case in question was made only to victimise him politically. He, therefore, prayed to the court to quash the case in question and discharge him from the charges levelled against him.
Hakim Ali Zardari has been facing the charge of alloting a big piece of land in Islamabad for construction of a model village and obtained a huge amount from the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation by using his political influence. He then used the same plot for installation of a petrol pump and got a huge amount from the Pakistan State Oil for this purpose.
