Heavy traffic banned

KARACHI: The Administration has decided to ban the movement of heavy traffic in the city's different areas during day time from March 25.

The decision was taken at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Co;mmissioner Karachi, Shafiqur Rehman Paracha after taking stock of the problems caused by heavy traffic.

It was agreed that plying of heavy traffic during day time posed great dangers to road users and particularly the school children and other vehicles besides creating greater traffic pressure.

It was decided to ban heavy traffic from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on M A Jinnah Road (from Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Merewether Tower), Shahrah-e-Faisal (Star Gate to Hotel Avari), Siddiq Ali Khan Road (Nazimabad No 1 to Lasbella Bridge) and University Road (from NIPA to Sabzi Mandi).ÑAPP
