CE to address nation on Pakistan day

ISLAMABAD: Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf will address the nation on Radio and Pakistan Television on Pakistan Day, March 23.

A high-level meeting to review arrangements being made in connection with the address to the nation by Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf and media coverage for forthcoming visit of US President Bill Clinton was held with the Secretary, Ministry of Information and Media Development, Khwaja Ijaz Sarwar, in the chair here on Sunday.

The meeting discussed threadbare the matters pertaining to the media coverage of both the high profile events.

It was decided that press centres would be established to facilitate the local and foreign journalists and media-men covering President Clinton's visit.

The covering media teams and individual journalists would be issued special security passes on the occasion.

Briefings of the officers detailed on protocol duties and transport would be organised.

The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Ministry of Information and attached departments. APP
