KCCI relief packets for Lyari

KARACHI: Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on Thursday handed over 400 packets of rice, ghee, sugar, pulses etc., to Deputy Commissioner South for their distribution to the poor and deserving people of Lyari.

The packets were handed over by chamber president Amjad Rafi in the presence of vice-president Abdul Samee Khan, members managing committee, Mohammad Yaqoob Karim and Abdul Rahim Jano.

The packets to be distributed among 400 families of Lyari, expected to provide some relief and is an effort on the part of the chamber to enable these families to celebrate Eid.

KCCI president on this occasion, appealed to the rich and philanthropists to step forward to supplement the government efforts to ameliorate the lot of the poor.ÑAPP
