LAHORE: Six dacoits on Wednesday injured an excise inspector when he resisted to foil a dacoity bid, looted gold ornaments, cash and valuables wroth Rs 500,000 here at Hajarwal.

Mrs captain Ijaz (Retd) and her relatives including excise inspector Bahawal Sher along with his family were present in the house when the dacoits entered. They held the inmates at gunpoint, the inspector tried to foil the dacoity attempt, but the dacoits opened fire at him and fled the scene after collecting cash, gold ornaments and valuables.

The inspector suffered bullet injuries and was rushed to the hospital where his condition is reported stable.ÑAPP
