First Haj flight returns on 20th

ISLAMABAD: First Haj flight, bringing pilgrims back home, will touch down at Islamabad International Airport on March-20.

The Hajis, arriving at 9:55 p.m. hours via PK-1902, will be received by Director General for Haj operations and other officers of Civil Aviation Authority and Pakistan International Airlines.ÑAPP

SDM asked to probe into prisoner's death

KARACHI: The District Magistrate, South, has appointed SDM city to hold judicial enquiry into the cause of death of under-trial prisoner Taj Mohammed alias Tajoo s/o Ghulam Hyder involved in a case under Hudood Ordinance. The accused had died at Civil Hospital Karachi on February 29, 2000.ÑAPP

SSUET holidays

KARACHI: Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) and its allied institutions Aligarh Institute of Technology and Faheem-un-Nisa Memorial Aligarh Institute for girls will remain closed on March 17 and 18, on the account of Eid-ul-Azha holidays. KARACHI: NED University of Engineering and Technology will remain closed on March 17, and 18, on account of Eid-ul-Azha holidays. The vice chancellor of the university has also announced that half-day Sunday session will be observed on March 16, said a press release. According to a notification of Dawood College of Engineering and Technology (DCET), the institution will remain closed from March 13, to March 22 on account of Eid holidays. The educational activities in the institution will commence from March 23.ÑPPI
