HCBA condemns Raad's murder

HYDERABAD: The managing committee of High Court Bar Association (HCBA) Hyderabad which met here on Monday has condemned the assassination of former Sindh advocate general Iqbal Raad and called upon the government to arrest the culprits without delay.

Bar president, Hakim Ali Siddiqui chaired the meeting.

Expressing profound sorrow and grief over the wanton murder of Iqbal Raad, the meeting brought on record a deep sense of in security and despondency among the lawyers community.

Addressing the meeting, Siddiqui said that the cold-blooded murder of Raad when the judiciary of Pakistan was faced with great challenges could prove disastrous if the incident was not given due importance and immediate steps were not taken to nab the culprits.

The meeting observed that it would also adversely reflect on the efficiency and effectiveness of the law enforcing agencies if the murderers were not arrested.
