Gas, power meters issue worries LCCI

LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Senior Vice President Sheikh Mohammad Asif and Vice President Sarmad Amin have said that industrialists and mill-owners whose meters of Sui gas and electricity are not in their names were facing great difficulties in getting adjustment of GST levied in the bills.

They appealed to the authorities concerned that such bills should be considered in the payees' names to avoid further financial burden on them.

In a press statement, issued here on Tuesday, they also draw the attention of higher authorities towards excess electricity and gas billing and said the industry was already facing financial crisis thus such unwarranted burden could result in their closure.

They appealed to the government to pay special attention to this menace. PPI
