Mukhtar takes

charge as

SSGC chief

KARACHI: The government has appointed Mukhtar Ahmed as managing director, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) after Aslam Farook, having proceeded on leave preparatory to retirement.

Mukhtar assumed charge on Tuesday, the company said.

He worked with the Asian Development Bank for 10 years in its Islamabad and Manila offices. He had earlier served the SSGC as general manager besides working at National Refinery Ltd. (NRL) in different capacities.

He, a chemical engineer by profession, brings to SSGC 20 years long experience in the hydrocarbon sector, the company said.
