Plan to curb terrorism on Eid
KASUR: Deputy Commissioner Major Azam Suleman Khan Retd said comprehensive security measures have been planned to curb terrorism, heinous crimes and other anti-state activities on Eid-ul-Azha. Addressing a law and order meeting, he said practical steps are being taken to implement 'chokidari' system in the district. Security measures have been tightened at bus and wagon's 'addas', he added.ÑAPP
Telecom Hazara open katchery today
ISLAMABAD: Hazara Telecommunication Region will hold an "open Katchery" at Abbotabad on Monday to listen to complaints of the customers.
The Katchery will be held at regional office, Small Industrial Estate, Mandian at 11 am.
Director, Hazara telecom region has asked the customers to point out their problems so as to redress them at the earliest.ÑAPP
International exhibitions
FAISALABAD: The government is planning to hold international exhibitions here. Sources said the purpose of holding such exhibitions is to provide an opportunity to local exporters to have direct links with foreign exhibitors for marketing their products. LAHORE: Drug Enforcement Agency of the US Department of Justice, has selected Excise and Taxation Officer (Excise) Ch. Irfan Ahmad Gondal for training in USA towards detection of narcotics. The U.S. department of justice has requisitioned his services for training as drug enforcement agent considering his credibility and intelligence.ÑPPI
90 Medical stores sealed
LAHORE: As many as 90 medical stores were sealed, 193 challaned and samples from 1,207 stores were sent to the quality control board by the health department staff during a special drive in the Division. Sources said that raiding teams headed by drug inspectors were carrying out a check on the sale of sub-standard and spurious medicines. Around 759 medical stores were checked.ÑPPI

TURBAT: Balochistan Minister for Planning and Development, Agha Abdul Qadar Baluch has directed officials to perform their duties with dedication only to serve the humanity.
