ACE institutes case against ex-KC chairman, others

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has instituted a case against Nazir Ahmad Bajwa, former chairman of the District Khidmat Committee, Ashiq Hussain, Block Officer, Nawaz Butt, a guard of the Forest Department and others on the charge of embezzling 200 maunds of official timber and selling it to Iqbal Gujar of Adda Mahzbi Walla.

The accused have been booked, under Section 409 PPC and 5/2/47 Section of the Forest Act.

The timber was misappropriated in connivance with Abdur Razzaq, nephew of Nazir Ahmad Bajwa. The case has been registered following complaint of Shahadat Ali, resident of Chak No.372 GB Samundri.

Meanwhile, an ACE team raided a saw in Mahzbi Walla and recovered 200 maunds of stolen timber.
