Abpaw Mela at Sindbad

to mark World Women day

KARACHI: A colourful function was held on Sunday to mark the 'International Women Day' at Sindbad's Wonderland.

It was sponsored by National Association of Business, Professional and Agriculture Women (Abpaw) in collaboration with Sindh Police and Sindbad's Wonderland.

The programme started with the recitation of the Holy Quran which was followed by Naat and national anthem, and a project of Abpaw presented by the Ujala School children.

The organisers had arranged improvised stalls for the participants. Police band display and a magic and puppet shows were main attractions for the children.

A large number of women were attracted by display and sale of products by the members of Abpaw, NGO's and commercial stalls at discount rates.

At the "traffic education" stall, a huge crowd was busy in availing the opportunity to renew their licences in just 15 minutes. For "safety education", "children guide books", and "traffic calenders" were also available free of cost.
