WASHINGTON: President Bill Clinton, in a message on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha to over one billion Muslims throughout the world, sent this warm greetings to across the United States and around the world.

In his message, the American President said that by building on strong foundations of mutual respect and tolerance, we can achieve peace and reconciliation in our world.

The message said that variety of nations and cultures represented by those who gather in Makkah each year, is a powerful reminder that ethnic differences need not divide us when we share common purposes and values.
