ANKARA: Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit has confirmed that he would visit Pakistan and rejected reports that he was unwilling to travel to Islamabad, Turkish press said on Friday.

According to Ankara-based daily "Turkish Daily News" Ecevit met with Pakistan's ambassador Karamatullah Khan Ghouri in a bid to clarify his position vis-a-vis Pakistan amidst reports that he was unwilling to visit Islamabad.

The newspaper said the Turkish Premier "made it clear that he will visit Pakistan soon and he categorically refused any suggestion that he was unwilling to visit Pakistan".ÑAPP
