CE asks Jawans

to concentrate

on training

NOWSHERA: General Pervez Musharraf has called upon the officers and jawans to concentrate on professional training and cohesion among their rank and file.

He was addressing the officers and men of the Army Services Corps (ASC) on the occasion of their annual reunion and Commanding Officers' conference at the ASC Regimental Centre here on Friday.

The Chief Executive extolled the sacrifices rendered by the ASC in the defence of the motherland. He said, that it is a vital component of the Pakistan Army responsible for vital logistics support to keep the wheels moving and "life lines" intact.

Earlier, Major General Ghazanfar Ali, Director General, ASC in his address of welcome shed light on the operational and peace time achievements of the regiment. He also informed the audience about the steps that have been initiated to further improve the capability of ASC and various welfare measures for the troops.

Soon after his arrival at the centre, the Chief Executive laid a floral wreath at the "Yadgar-e-Shuhada" and offered Fateha for the eternal peace of those men who gave the supreme sacrifice of their lives in the defence of the country.

Crops Commander Lt. Gen. Saeed-uz-Zafar, Quarter Master General Pakistan Army Lt. Gen. Mohammad Akram were also present on the occasion.ÑAPP
