KARACHI: The House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC) has interlinked its headoffice and three zonal offices in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi with computer network.

In a press release issued on Friday, HBFC said that with the assistance of Pakistan Army the computer facility comprising IBM AS/400 systems has been introduced to help in timely data communication and effective control on IT activities of the organisation.

It said that after successful completion of loan accounting system on the computers the organisation has moved ahead with the establishment of its computer network. At present there are four AS/400 systems installed each at head office in Karachi and the three zonal offices.

The Corporation is certain the new system will play a vital role in improvement of the client service.
