30-bed medical centre to be set up in Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad: The doctors and child specialists of the AJK will set up a 30-bed medical centre with all the latest medical equipment and facilities where low paid government employees, labours, poor and journalists will get 20 percent concession.
This was disclosed by Managing Director of the centre, Dr. Ejaz Ahmed, at a news conference here at the Muzaffarabad Press Club on Friday. AJK Chief Jargon Dr. Bashir-ur-Rehman Kanth, Dr Viqar Haider, Asif Gulab and trader Pervez Iqbal Banday were also present on the occasion.
Ejaz said in wake of the growing population government hospitals in the AJK have not been providing due medical facilities to the masses.
He said a board of governors under the supervision of Dr. Bashir-ur-Rehman Kanth will run the centre.
He said the centre was being set up with the cooperation of the National Bank of Pakistan.
He said it would have an operation theatre, gynaecologist, X-ray, ultrasound, blood test laboratory, ECG and medical boarding.
Dr. Ejaz said that the low income employees, labour, destitudes and journalists would be given 20 percent concession at the centre, while the relatives of the journalists would be given 10 percent concession.
