IJT plans Kashmir rallies during Clinton visit
Recorder Report
Lahore: Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) in order to seek attention of President Bill Clinton to the Kashmir issue has planned to stage rallies in educational institutions.
Addressing a press conference, here on Thursday, IJT Nazim Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said that they would be happy with the visit of US president provided it was helpful in solving the long-standing Kashmir issue as per the UNO resolutions.
However, Mushtaq categorically stated that if President Clinton tried to develop pressure on the government for rolling back of its nuclear programme or sabotaging ongoing Jehad in Kashmir, the IJT would not let him to do this and would launch an agitation against him. 'We are observing the situation so that decision could be taken accordingly', he added.
He warned the government that if they compromised on the national issues against the will and interest of nation, the student from Karachi to Khyber would stand against them.
