Rs 43.3m in 6 months

ISLAMABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) has collected a revenue of Rs 43.3 million as against the target of Rs 26.7 million for the first six months of the current fiscal year.

According to the official sources, the department also collected Rs 20 million under the heads of registration transfer fee, road tax registration and entertainment tax on cinemas.

Sources said that during the last three months 50,000 cases of vehicles registration and transfer were received, out of which 47,000 were disposed of while remaining 5,000 cases were being scrutinise.

Meanwhile, Chief Commissioner Khalid Saeed has directed the ICT Department to make more efforts to achieve desired results.ÑAPP
