Greek violence
ATHENS: Offices of the Greek ruling socialist party PASOK, and six vehicles, including three police cars, were damaged by firebomb attacks in and around Athens early on Thursday, police here said.
The six cars were almost totally destroyed in attacks in four Athens suburbs.
A Pasok office in Kypeli, near central Athens, was damaged by a Molotov cocktail as were two offices of the "Friends of the Police" in and around Athens.
There were no casualties in the attacks.
No organisation has so far claimed responsibility for the attacks, but police suspect an anarchist movement.
Police were mobilised but discovered nothing before the attacks took place.
The anarchist group has claimed some ten other attacks, notably against banks, without causing any serious damage.
The group claimed responsibility for an attack last April on the Intercontinental Hotel in Athens in which one person died. The group said they took that action in protest against Nato's air campaign in Yugoslavia.ÑAFP
