Gram prices fall

on seed, grain markets

KARACHI: Grams, seeds and cereals sectors underwent variations on the seed and grain markets on Thursday.

On the gram sector, gram imported both types dropped Rs 50 to Rs 1,825 and Rs 1,875, yellow peas shed Rs 30 to Rs 1,290 and better type lost same amount to Rs 1,320, dal yellow peas dropped, Rs 20 to Rs 1,430 and better type shed Rs 25 to Rs 1,450, gram dal imported both types lost Rs 2,125 to Rs 2,175.

Rapeseeds from Dadu both types lost Rs 50 to Rs 400 and Rs 425. Mirpur's shed Rs 3 to Rs 510, cakes lost Rs 10 to Rs 160 and better type lost Rs 8 to Rs 165. The Sindh new rose by Rs 25 to Rs 1,275 and Rs 1,300. Cotton cakes lost Rs 15 to Rs 360 and Rs 365.

On the cereals side, masoor Canada conceded Rs 100 to Rs 2,250 to Rs 2,400 and masoor Australia weakened by same amount to Rs 2,250 to Rs 2,400.
