Narcotics seized

QUETTA: Gadani customs in successful raid on a truck seized large quantity of heroin and charas (marijuana). On a tip-off customs staff posted at Khar post intercepted a Karachi-bound truck from Noshki and recovered 52 kg of high quality heroin, 152 kg of charas and 1.75 kg of opium, hidden beneath the onions. The value of recovered narcotics was estimated at Rs 57 million.ÑPPI

18 accused held

KARACHI: Karachi police arrested 18 persons involved in various crimes from different parts of the city during last 24 hours. According to police, it recovered one pistol and one revolver besides some narcotics, liquor and stolen property from the accused.ÑAPP

Bomb hoax in Customs Court

KARACHI: Bomb hoax created panic at Customs Court here on Tuesday. Artillery Maidan police station received a phone call that a bomb has been planted in Customs Court and will explode in one hour. Police mobiles reached the court and asked staff members to leave the premises. After search, experts of bomb disposal squad gave clearance.ÑPPI
