FIA completes inquiry against deposed MNA

FAISALABAD: The FIA has completed inquiry against suspend MNA Ch. Sher Ali and his son, Amer Sher Ali, former city mayor, in 40 charges of corruption, malpractice and other grave irregularities.

The FIA team has, till Tuesday, recorded statements of 241 private and official witnesses in these cases including, former mayor Riaz Shahid and three deputy mayors.

The FIA has prepared a comprehensive report against Ch. Sher Ali and Amer Sher Ali, who are closest relatives of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

The inquiry report is expected to be submitted to the National Ehtesab Bureau within next 24 hours, it is learnt.
