20000109India won't cut ties with Pakistan over hijack
NEW DELHI: India will not cut diplomatic ties with Pakistan despite believing it masterminded the hijacking of an Indian airliner last month, the country's national security adviser said.
"If we break diplomatic relations, we will not be able to do whatever little we can now," Brajesh Mishra was quoted as telling a television interviewer on the Star Plus channel.
"We want to get together different countries, show them what Pakistan is doing and then together take some action against it."
Mishra was quoted as saying: "We have taken steps in this direction by seeking international cooperation. We have already said that we consider Pakistan a terrorist state."-Reuters
