LAHORE: In recongnition of his services in various fields, Pakistan Award Committee chaired by Justice Nasim Hassan Shah (Retd) has awarded 'Pride of Performance' to Absar Abdul Ali as best public relations personnel.

All Pakistan Public Relations Society had nominated Absar Abdul Ali, the head of the Public Relations Cell at Social Welfare Department as the recipient.

Absar Ali, a writer of 12 books on poetry and drama and a government official for 30 years, is also one of the senior most newscasters of the PTV and has compered scores of important television functions.

Talking to APP, he said he has maintained liaison with public in what he called 'zero budget', meaning to say that his cell in the Social Welfare Department operates without any regular grant from the government other than the salaries.ÑAPP
