51 pc complain of price hike during
Ramazan: Gallup survey
ISLAMABAD: Fifty-one percent of a national urban samples complained of price hike during Ramazan, says a report of Gallup Survey Pakistan.
According to the report 51 percent complained that prices had gone up, 30 percent said the prices remained stable while 19 percent said they had declined.
The survey findings further revealed that compared with Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi/Islamabad the complaints about price hike was higher in interior of Sindh, Quetta, Peshawar and Mardan.
Meanwhile, the district administration, as a precautionary measure to ensure complete peace on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, has beefed up security arrangements in Islamabad.
Deputy Commissioner Hamid Ali Khan has directed all the hospitals in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) to remain on "high alert" during Eid holidays to meet any eventuality.
He has also directed the Islamabad Fire Brigade to remain high alert on the occasion.
The district administration and police have been fully prepared and vigilant to avert any untoward situation in the capital during the Eid days.ÑAPP
