KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami staged a demonstration against government intention to sign CTBT, in front of Masjid Binnori Town after Friday prayers.

Speakers criticised the statement of the Foreign Minister in which he hinted at signing of CTBT.

They said that the Jamaat would not allow the government to sign CTBT and would stage demonstrations to mobilise public opinion against any such move.

They said that Benazir and Nawaz Sharif governments failed to sign CTBT against the public opinion and now the present rulers had started a campaign and were issuing statements daily in favour of signing CTBT.
