Al-Qadr Day

KARACHI: Flag hoisting ceremony, Qur'an Khuwani and Iftar party was held on Tuesday (January 4) at Hamdard Village School, Madinat al-Hikmah, to celebrate Al-Qadr, the night of first revelation of Holy Quran and to pay thanks to Allah Almighty on creation of Pakistan according to the movement launched by Shaheed-i-Pakistan Hakim Mohammad Said.

Mrs. Sadia Rashid, President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan hoisted national flag. Later on Qur'an Khuwani was held at Masjid Abu Hussain and special prayers were offered for the safety, solidarity and progress of the country.

Dr. Navaiduz Zafar, Managing Director Hamdard, Tasir Hussain Hamidi, Director Programmes Hamdard, Hafiz Pervez Ahmed, Administrator, Hamdard Public School, teachers and students in a large number attended the function.

It is to be recalled that Hakim Mohammad Said Shaheed had always laid stress on observing 27th of Ramazan an Independence and thanksgiving day, being the day when Pakistan came into being, and to offer special prayers for the betterment of Pakistan.ÑPR
