HYDERABAD: The Deputy Director, Food Hyderabad region, Dr Riaz Ahmed Memon, has suspended four officials of food department of district Dadu on charges of irregularities and embezzlement on the report of district food controllers.

According to report, the depot incharges of Dadu, Sehwan, Johi and Phulji station had misappropriated 6,573 wheat bags valued at Rs 5,91,570.

The Sehwan depot incharge deposited a sum of Rs 54,900 as cost of 61 wheat bags while the others have not returned the amount. Enquiries have been initiated against them while their cases have been sent to anti-corruption establishment.
