Fog affects Lahore life

LAHORE: Thick clouds of fog continued to envelope the provincial capital throughout the day on Wednesday, increasing the intensity of cold. The minimum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 1c affecting the civic life badly.

Due to cold, attendance in the offices remained thin. Though the Eid festival is approaching fast, a decline in the rush of shoppers was visible in the markets and bazaars.

Dense fog also affected the flight and train schedules badly due to poor visibility. Most of the flights to and from Lahore were delayed or cancelled. A number of flights were diverted to other destinations.
