Anti-corruption cases in Larkana reviewed

LARKANA: A meeting of Anti-Corruption Committee No. II Larkana was held under the chairmanship of Larkana Commissioner Nazar Hussain Mehar to review anti-corruption cases registered in Larkana Division.

The Deputy Director Anti-Corruption Larkana Range, Khalid Salahuddin briefed the meeting about track-record of the officers involved in misappropriation and other malpractices.

On basis of his presentation, the meeting recommended action against 68 officers/officials. It also approved to lodge 14 FIRS, six cases to be prosecuted in the Court of Law. Further enquiry was also recommended regarding five different cases. While departmental action and issuing charge sheets was suggested in eight cases.

Among others, the meeting was also attended by Nazir Abbasi, the Additional Commissioner, Dr. Capt. Ashique Ali, AIGP Ñ Prisons, Mohammad Alam Thaheem Deputy Director Education, Mohammad Bachal, Superintending Engineer, Sikandar Ali Administrator Municipal Committee, Abdul Razaq, Deputy Director SASO, Abdul Majeed, Deputy Director Food and others.

The meeting review cases pertaining to Revenue Department observed Tapedars and Mukhtiarkars (officers responsible to maintain land records) to be generally indulged in tempering record of rights as well as preparing bogus records thus facilitating forged entries beneficial to individuals and parties offering the former hefty gratification.
