Hijackers left

Afghanistan with

consent of India: Taliban

ISLAMABAD: Denying the statement of an Indian Minister Taliban's Civil Aviation Minister Mansoor has said that hijackers left Afghanistan with consent of India, BBC reports.

According to report the Indian Civil Aviation Minister, Sharad Yadev has been quoted as saying that India had not agreed with the Taliban that the hijackers should leave Kandahar.

Commenting on this statement Mansoor said, "I think, the Civil Aviation Minister has not carefully listened to it or has not understood it. With the consent of the Indian and Afghan Foreign Ministries, it was decided to give ten hours time to the hijackers to leave Afghanistan. We did not allow the trial of the hijackers in Afghanistan as well do not want to earn enmity with anyone.

He said the Foreign Ministers of the two countries had reached an agreement under which "we set a deadline for the hijackers to leave Afghanistan as we were not providing shelter to them. We said that we would allow them wherever they want to go".ÑAPP
