LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday restrained Kaloor Kot police from harassing a petitioner and his family and directed Director, Anti-Corruption Establishment, Punjab to investigate the matter personally and punish the guilty including cops and informed the court in this regard.

The court also restrained Kaloor Kot police from harassing the petitioner and his family.

The petition filed by a disabled peasant Malik Atta Mohammad through his counsel Hafiz Khalil Ahmed, submitted that two persons Malik Aurangzeb and Shafiq Niazi had fraudulently obtained Rs 70,000 loan from Co-opeative Bank, Kaloor Kot branch against his name by preparing fake and bogus documents.

He submitted that now the bank authorities got a case registered against him and the police is harassing him and his family whereas he is innocent.

He informed the court that he approached the police in this regard for the registration of case against the accused but the police refused to register case.

He prayed the court to restrain police from harassing him and pass directions for investigation.ÑAPP
