Business on Jodia
Bazar maintains
large volume
RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: Business maintained large volume on the Jodia Bazar, mostly at the unchanged price levels on Tuesday. Variations were however, marked in chemicals, dyes and Kirana items.
Chemicals were down, in low uptake. Formic acid from Germany was down by 40 paisa to Rs 50.60. Sitara Caustic Soda flakes conceded 60 paisa to Rs 24.55. Dyes: Sulphur dyes China sulphur 501 was up by 6 paisa to Rs 35.50; brown GDR backed away by Rs 2 to Rs 60, yellow GR, was down by same amount to Rs 64. Sulphur yellow brown 5G dropped Rs 3 to Rs 52 and sulphur black conceded 40 paisa to Rs 35.50.
Kirana: Black pepper from Vietnam dropped Rs 100 to Rs 14,500. Small cardamom shed same amount to Rs 28,000. Small cardamom from Guatemala was quoted at Rs 27,000. Cloves shed Rs 150 to Rs 9,300. Dry ginger from China retreated by Rs 300 to Rs 2,800. Gum gogal lost Rs 200 to Rs 2,600. Sago shed Rs 10 to Rs 990.
