3-day Mehfil-e-Shabeena

ISLAMABAD: The soul-stirring Mehfil-e-Shabeena started on Tuesday night at the Faisal Mosque, packed with thousands of faithful invoking blessings of Allah Almighty and seeking forgiveness for their sins.

Twelve eminent 'Qaris', selected from all over the country, will recite the Holy Quran during the three-day annual event, which marks culmination of the Holy month of Ramazan.

The Mehfil-e-Shabeena has been organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Mehfil-e-Shabeena would also be arranged at the provincial headquarters under auspices of the Auqaf Departments.

A camp office has been set up here by the Ministry of Religious Affairs for providing facilities to the people attending the Mehfil-e-Shabeena while, for their convenience, a medical centre has also been established by PIMS. The Faisal Mosque has been tastefully illuminated on this occasion.ÑAPP
