Homeopathic
teaching hospital
to be set up
in Kasur
KASUR: The first complete homeopathic teaching hospital of the country, with 200 beds, will be established shortly in Kasur, said Dr Major Habib-ur-Rehman Khan (Retd), Chairman of Al-Rehman Welfare Foundation, Pakistan, while talking to APP.
He said it is a fact that the importance, the benefits and the repute of the homeopathic system of medicine is increasing day by day at the level of the masses, however it is being given comparatively less attention by the government.
He maintained that on one hand, there are some 75,000 homeopathic doctors, but on the other hand no homeopathy hospital has been established so far in the country.
The Al-Rehman Foundation, Pakistan, has decided to set up a complete homeopathic teaching hospital with a 200-bed facility at Kasur. He said the hospital will provide every kind of treatment. There will be complete arrangements for the training and education of new doctors and students of homeopathic colleges.
The facility will include a college, auditorium, hostel, library, laboratory, operation theatre, ambulance etc.
Dr Maj Habib disclosed that an 8-kanal plot has been earmarked by the Foundation for the hospital which may gradually be extended to 40 kanals.
He also asserted that a campaign will be launched with the cooperation of HPCA to establish homeopathic hospitals having 100 beds, at all divisional headquarters of the country.ÑAPP
