Doctors resist

HYDERABAD: The Central President, Peoples Doctors Forum, Dr Karim Khawja, has announced here on Monday that the transfer of doctors from Karachi and Hyderabad to interior of Sindh on the basis on domicile will be strongly resisted.

In a statement issued here on Monday, Dr Karim termed the move of the Sindh Government to transfer the doctors on the basis of domicile as 'Anti-Sindh' and added that this will widen the gulf between the urban and the rural population.

He also said that this would also close the door of higher education on the doctors and held domiciles of interior Sindh.

Dr Karim appealed to the doctors to remain united and warned the government that if the proposal was not dropped, a protest movement will be launched throughout the province.

He also demanded that all the contract doctors should be reinstated.
