436 patients examined at free eye camp
KARACHI: Some 436 eye patients including 141 women were examined at the free eye camp organised by Sindh Police Welfare Branch at Police Hospital Garden here on Monday.
A team of four opthalmologists examined the patients and distributed medicines free of cost. Those recommended spectacles were provided the same also without any cost.
Some of the patients who required operation, have been called for the same.
It is the only hospital of Police Department where patients come not only from Karachi but various parts of Sindh and are benefitted with facilities available here.
The IG Police Aftab Nabi personally visited the eye camp and watched the police officers and personnel being examined by doctors.
He directed the Medical Superintendent to submit a list of medicines according to hospital requirement so that patients may not have to face any inconvenience.
The IGP said that any costly medicine recommended for any police official or jawan would be made available.
Aftab Nabi said that such camps should be organised at regular intervals.
The DIG Headquarter, AIG General, Hospital M.S., doctors and Begum Aftab Nabi were also present on the occasion.
IGP said that a separate eye camp will be organised where people advised operation would be facilitated. APP
