40 wood godowns

PESHAWAR: A huge fire that erupted in a shop at timber market outside Yakatoot area in here late Sunday night, has gutted more than 40 godowns of woods.

The loss estimated runs in millions of rupees. According to police total loss is about 20 million. Whereas the owners of the godowns are claiming more. No loss of life is reported in the incident.

The cause of fire is said to be short circuiting in a shop which later engulfed the godowns of the vicinity.

The fire started at 11.00 p.m. and with a tireless efforts of firefighters was doused at 5.00 a.m.ÑAPP
