Over 300 train passengers caught

without ticket

MULTAN: The Railways SSP, Commander Shaukat Ali (Retd), has arrested 300 train passengers who were travelling without ticket and recovered Rs 43,000 as fine from them during a drive from January 14 to January 22.

The majority of passengers were caught on Multan Kundian route.

Over 60 passengers were arrested on January between Multan and Sahiwal and fined Rs 4,874.

Police arrested 126 passengers without ticket on January 16 on Multan, Bhakkar and Kundian routes and fined them Rs 10,955.

At least 60 passengers were caught on January 19 on Multan Khanpur route and fined Rs 15,200.

Around 50 passengers were found without ticket on January 22 and fined Rs 12,000.
