Beverage agency sealed
LAHORE: Army Monitoring team (7) during its drive against unauthorised beverage agencies conducted raid and sealed a fake RC Cola beverage agency at Fort Road here on Saturday. The team imposed fine of Rs 5,000 on the owner of the agency, at the spot, besides taking in to custody 47 crates of fake bottles. Case has been registered for further investigation. The monitoring team along with officials of Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) is continuously conducting raids on fake beverage factories, an MCL spokesman said.ÑAPP
Nurses classes to start soon
BAHAWALNAGAR: The building of Nursing School Bahawalnagar is almost complete and classes of nursing staff will start soon, said Medical Superintendent of District Headquarters Hospital, Bahawalnagar here on Friday. Talking to newsmen he said the construction work on an additional ward for this purpose in the DHQ is also in progress and would be completed in near future.ÑAPP
Task force on socialwelfare meets on 31st
LAHORE: The Task force (TF) for review of social welfare policy is meeting at the directorate general, social welfare and women development here on January 31. Provincial Minister for Social Welfare, Women Development and Literacy Shaheen Atiq-ur-Rehman will chair the meeting. Meanwhile, the fourth meeting fo the TF will be held on February 1 at the same venue to discuss ways and means of implementing the decisions to be taken during January 31 meeting.ÑAPP
Medical camp in rural areas
KARACHI: The Secretary Health and Population Welfare, Sindh, Mrs Rukhsana Saleem has directed the health authorities to establish free medical camp throughout the province, on regular basis, so that patients suffering from various diseases could be benefited from these camps. She directed this while inaugurating the free medical camp at Jhangara, the far-flung village of Dadu. The medical camp was arranged by health department in which the specialists of various diseases provided free operational and check-up facilities to the patients. She said the Sindh government in striving hard to provide latest medical facilities alongwith specialists of main diseases at district and Taluka levles, so that the people can be able to get immediate treatment at local level.ÑAPP
Metallic string sale banned in Okara
ATTOCK: District Magistrate, Attock, Serat Asghar has banned the sale of metallic string and thick thread (Tandi) for kite flying during the coming sesason of Basant to avoid any loss of property and human life. He also prohibited the playing of loud speaker in public places. Distt. Magistrate issued the order Under Section 14 CrPc in this regard which will come into force at once and shall remain into force for one month.ÑAPP
