Dacoits loot cash, jewellery

MULTAN: Four unidentified robbers looted Rs 250,000 cash and 144 grams jewellery at gun-point from a textile factory.

According to police, Aftab Ahmad, manager of the Gultex Tareen Traders factory, situated at Vehari Road Multan, lodged a complaint with Seetal Maari police that four gunmen forced entry into the factory on Friday night.

They took the factory watchmen, Maqbool Hussain and Kausar Shah hostage and unlocked the safe, took cash amounting Rs 250,000 and 12 tolas (144 gram) gold ornaments from the safe, and escaped.

Police have registered the case under 457 and 380-PPC and started investigations.ÑAPP
