Omar's directive

for early arrest

of culprits

HARIPUR: Federal Minister for Local Bodies and Rural Development Omar Asghar Khan on Sunday directed the district administration to utilise all possible resources for immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the recent killings of 13 persons in Sikanderpur village.

Condoling with the heirs of the deceased, the minister condemned this ghastly incident and said that the Chief Executive has taken a serious note of the tragic happening and directed the security agencies to nab the culprits.

Omar Asghar hoped that the culprits would be brought to book soon and exemplary punishment would be awarded to them. On this occasion members of the peace committee besides heirs of the deceased submitted various suggestions for maintenance of peace in the area.

The minister called upon the media to play their role for promoting unity and harmony the people and avoid publication of news without prior confirmation.

The heirs of the deceased asked the minister to provide them protection while the peace committee urged for compensation to the heirs of the deceased and those injured.ÑAPP
