LSE building committee reconstituted

LAHORE: The management of the Lahore Stock Exchange has reconstituted the LSE building committee to look after the construction of second tower.

According to the sources, Khalid Rafiq will be the Convener of the committee with Jamil Ahmad, Dr. Yasir Mehmood, Kh. Imtiaz Ahmad, Javaid Iqbal, Asif Baig Mirza, Gul Abdullah Dhami, Imran Bashir Chaudhry and Raja Munir Ahmed as its members.

Earlier the committee which was looking after the affairs relating to the construction of the new tower of the bourse since December 31, 1996., was being convened by former LSE President Mohsin Raza Bukhari.

However, sources claimed, new LSE chairman, Khawaja Hamid Saeed, dissolved the committee headed by Bukhari. The committee was reportedly dissolved due to its poor performance. The new committee has started work and recently held various meetings to expedite the construction work.
